Lee & Low Books is announcing its Seventh Annual NEW VOICES AWARD.

LEE & LOW BOOKS is an independent children’s book publisher, and specializes in multicultural themes. Their goal to meet the need for stories that children of color can identify with and that ALL children can enjoy.

LEE & LOW makes a special effort to work with artists of color, and takes pride in nurturing many authors and illustrators who are new to the world of children’s book publishing.

THE LEE & LOW NEW VOICES AWARD!!!

The Award will be given for a children’s picture book story by a writer of color. The winner will receive a cash grant of $1000 and their standard publication contract, including a standard advance and royalties. An Honor Award winner will receive a cash grant of $500.
