Well, it’s that time again.  Time for the 16th annual Delacorte Dell Yearling Contest for a First Middle Grade Novel!

WHO:  Any U.S. or Canadian writer who has not previously published a novel for middle-grade readers

WHAT:  Contemporary or Historical Fiction Novel set in North
America, for readers age 9-12.

LENGTH:  Minimum 96 typewritten pages, maximum 160 typewritten pages. **Include a brief plot summary with your covering letter

DEADLINE:  June 30, 2008

PRIZE(S):  $1,500 in cash and a $7,500 advance against royalties.
