Hi Everybody!
Here it is…my post about my first movie script, An Entrepreneur’s Heart.
A wonderful organization called The Seven Fund sponsored a global film contest called Cinema Prosperite. The challenge was for any filmmaker–professional or aspiring, to tell a compelling story about an entrepreneur, and to tell it in 5 minutes.
I partnered with my very talented friend, Adrienne Moss. Adrienne is an emerging filmmaker, and she was gracious enough to direct the film for me. I wrote the script, and we both co-produced it.
Here’s a picture of Adrienne and myself, comparing our storyboard to the script.

This was a global contest, and entries came in from all over the world. Yes, I said world! The prize was a scrumptious $20,000 and global recognition.
Here’s our videographer-extraordinaire, Eugene Arnold, on location with us.

Unfortunately, An Entrepreneur’s Heart didn’t win, but we did make the finals. We were one of eight finalists in the global contest.
Here’s a snapshot of our star, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist W.C. Hunter as we prepare to film.

As I said, we didn’t win the cash prize, but I do feel we accomplished something. We experienced the thrill of starting with nothing but an idea, putting it on paper, bringing it to film, uploading it to the internet…and finally, finishing among eight finalists in a global contest. Ahhhh…the sweet smell of success.
Here’s us at the storyboard, totally unprepared for the impromptu shot someone is taking. Don’t people just love to get gosh-awful photos when you’re not expecting them???

I’ll be making more films in the coming months. Be on the lookout!
Here’s Adrienne, myself and Entreprenuer W.C. Hunter, smiling for the camera.

And now…An Entrepreneur’s Heart. Until I figure out how to upload videos to this website, I’ll need to re-direct you to the movie website:
I hope you enjoy it! Best wishes and happy writing,
Your friend,
Rita
